We all made a day trip to Rothenburg ob der Tauber today, we went with Ali a new colleague of mine at work. Ali has joined the company in Iran about a month ago. This is the first time we have had anyone directly involved in the business within Iran, so will be a positive step for us.
Rothenburg is an old historic walled city, the city walls are still intact and you can walk around them which makes it a very pleasent place to visit. There are also a load of shops all to do with Christmas so it is possible to by Christmas things all year. Kathe Wolfhart is store with a load of shops in town where lots of money seems to change hands. It is one of the best visited tows in Germany so we did the right think and got up early and were there by 10:00 (it is about 2 hours from Frankfurt). We also visited a small vilage nearby by called Denxel (sp?) that was much quieter and very nice. The weather played along with us so we were all able to have a very nice autumn day. Only spoiled a little by the slow drive back up the A3 between Würzburg and Aschafenburg, not that K or J were bothered much they just slept through the way home.
