We have just got back from Skiing in Austria for a week. James’ first ski holiday was in Serfaus. He had a great time at the ski school with his instructor Evelyne.
By the end of the week we had a great ski racer.
Who is so proud of his medal!

We have just got back for a 9 day trip. All a little tired but have had a load of fun we got home late last night. So what did we do / what happened ?!
We started of in the directon of Jersey at about 10:00 on Thursday, we just drove and drove in the direction of Paris, we passed some snow in Germany on the higher ground and then were leased that the new part of motorway was open joining two existing parts together near Ramstein, thsi was great as it saves 15 mins or more and they have been working on this for ages. So finally nice tobe completed.
We passed Paris with not too many problems and decided to reach at least Chartre, we then decided to go a little further since no resturant opens tin France until at least 19:00 so we made it to Le Mans. We dorve in to the center of town where there was a realyl impressive Cathedral lots of gothic arches.. We did not go in since our young man found that there was a fair in town and he would like to visit and do a ride on the dodgems and have a look at th bright lights.
We stayed overnight is a “Campernal” after a non eventful dinner in a resturant it llooked Ok but when ordering we decided it must be “Alsation” So we went all the way to Le Mans to eat in a “German / French” resturant, we won’t be doing that again.
Friday morning we kept on moving in the direction of St Marlo but then realised that Mont St Michel is really not that far away and with a 17:45 ferry we had time. So have a look at the pics of this it is really impressive!
We then had drive along the coast back to St Marlo, there were loads of muscles and oysters being collected and farmed along this strech of coast. The boats were great they had big wheels just lone an offroad trike or somthing alike but the top was a 7 or 8 meter boat, quite cool when they drive along the beach. The beach was huge since the tide goes out a really really long way.
We then made the ferry leaving our car in St Marlo and took 75 mins on the Catarmarn made it over to Jersey. Gill and Jenny were waiting to meet us
